Guidelines
Because our event is based off the conventions of the Regency Era in the early 19th century, we have incredibly high standards for our guests in order to create an environment of high society. These conventions are designed to inspire gentlemanly and ladylike behavior in our guests. Below is a list of some protocols to keep in mind in order to be best prepared:
Dress Code

-
Gentlemen are REQUIRED to be in formal attire. The bare minimum is a button-up collared shirt, slacks, dress shoes, and a belt (no jeans, shorts, or tennis shoes). However, gentlemen are encouraged to wear a full suit or tuxedo with a tie (and a waistcoat if desired). See below for some visual examples.

-
Ladies are REQUIRED to wear a formal ball gown. Ball gowns must be at least past the knees, however, it is recommended that dresses go down to your ankles. No open back, low cut, form fitting, or two-piece dresses allowed. See below for some visual examples.

Appropriate attire will be checked by an attendant at the door when you arrive. If attire does not meet the standards, you may be asked to leave and come back in proper formal wear. This may seem harsh, however, we take the formality of this event very seriously.

General Policies

If the tickets were purchased by a parent or legal guardian, whoever purchased the ticket must show ID at the door. If parents wish to engage in the dances, or partake in any refreshments, they must also purchase tickets for themselves.
-
If a parent or legal guardian is purchasing the ticket for a minor, the parent or legal guardian and the child must both read and agree to all of the policies listed here, and on the registration form.

Any inappropriate public displays of affection will not be tolerated.

Attendees who are in a relationship are welcome to come as a couple. However guests are not required to bring a date to the ball. This is a social event designed for people to mingle and meet new people. Therefore, per the conventions of the Regency Era, it is the duty of any single gentlemen in attendance to always ensure there are no available young ladies without a dance partner for more than a few dances at a time.
